Hamilton Southeastern ended Huntington North's 3-game winning streak Saturday night in the championship game of the First Federal Holiday Classic at Huntington North Arena, 65-47. After tailing by 8, 19-11, at the end of one, the Vikings put together a solid second quarter to close the gap to 32-25 at the half.
Two 3-pointers by Huntington's Kyle Bradburn at the start of the third closed the Vikings gap to 2, but that was as close as they got as the Royals pulled away for the 18 point win, 65-47.
Huntington North was led by Kevin Fishers 15 points while Kyle Bradburn and Austin Shoemaker each added 9. Fisher ad Bradburn were also selected to the All-Tournament team. The Vikings will be in action again next Saturday, January 2, as they travel to Mackey Arena for a scheduled 12:15 tip against Triton.
