For the second time this season, the #9 Pilots (22-4, 10-3) put together a strong second half to hand the Foresters (15-11, 4-8) a 79-62 loss.
In a close first half that featured three lead changes and nine ties, the Foresters enjoyed a five-point lead at the 15:29 mark after Kellen Zawadzki hit two freebies to give HU the 12-7 lead. While the Pilots quickly closed the gap, the Foresters were able to maintain a slight lead for the next ten minutes but a three by Tony Benford put the Pilots up by one, 28-27, at the 4:55 mark. It was just what Bethel needed to give them the edge and close out the half up 36-35.

Tyler Shively's trey to start the second half gave HU their first and only lead of the final twenty minutes at 38-36. The Pilots responded with a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to give them the double digit lead at 48-38. The Foresters would cut it to five on two difference occasions but the Pilots shot a sizzling 63% from the field in the second half to keep HU at bay over the final twelve minutes of play.
Shively finished with 18 points. Also scoring in double digits for HU was Luke Smith with 14 and Caleb Kennedy with 13. Ryne Lightfoot led all scorers with 25. Tyler Brown chipped in 16 points and a game-high 14 boards.
