Beerbower named Forester Athlete of the Week

 HUNTINGTON, IN— The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of February 8-14, 2010.  Women’s basketball senior Courtney Beerbower earned the honor for her outstanding effort during the week’s competitions.

Courtney Beerbower, an Elementary/Special Education major from Auburn, Indiana (DeKalb High School), played an instrumental role in leading the Foresters to a 1-1 week as the regular season winds down.  She averaged 15.5 points on 72% shooting (13-for-18), 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals.  Beerbower is currently scoring a team-high 13.0 points per game and grabbing 5.9 rebounds each game.  The NAIA Division II 18^th-ranked Foresters (17-7) are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Goshen College.
