HUNTINGTON, IND. — When we slow down and listen, we allow God to draw us near and lead us in prayer. Victory Noll Center presents the program “Contemplative Prayer: Come and Hear” on Saturday, June 27, to assist in this process.
This experiential retreat, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will explore the rich history of Christian prayer, including centering prayer, lectio divina and the examen of consciousness. Those attending may bring a wristwatch, a journal and a Bible, but they are not necessary to participate.
The leader for the program is Sarah Lane. She is an occupational therapist with a Master’s degree in clinical psychology. She serves as a spiritual director and retreat facilitator with experience in spiritual formation and education for ministry. She has been a volunteer at Elizabeth House of Prayer in Fort Wayne for 10 years.
The cost of the program is $30 and deadline for registration is June 17. Victory Noll Center is located at 1900 W. Park Drive in Huntington.
