Dr. Jack Allen Sunderman, 82 of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Parkview Hospital. He left our world peacefully. Jack grew up in Jefferson Township and graduated from Jefferson Township High School. He graced the halls and received degrees from Purdue University, University of Michigan and Indiana University. He also served his country for two years in the Army. He was often used as reference when geological discoveries were made. He established the Department of Geology at IPFW in 1965 and educated thousands as Professor of Geology until his retirement in 1995. He was active in the Fox Island Alliance and loved contributing to the music ministry at St. Joseph United Methodist Church. “Jack may have left our world, but never will he leave our hearts.”
Jack Allen Sunderman was born on November 6, 1928, a son of Rufus and Hazel Sunderman.

Sandra (Sandy) A. Diffenbaugh, 58, Huntington, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Diffenbaugh was born December 29, 1952 in Fort Wayne to John and Esther (Harber) Hinen. Her father preceded her in death. She graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1971. She married Craig A. Diffenbaugh March 27, 1981 in Huntington. He survives in Huntington.
Mrs. Diffenbaugh worked as a dispatcher for the Huntington City Police and Fire Departments. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, CHRP, and Loose Ends. She also volunteered at the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by a son: Nick (Melissa Jones) Diffenbaugh, Fort Wayne; three daughters: Heather (David) Bowman, Huntington, Karri Feighner, Fort Wayne, Sara (Matt) Neal, Huntington; five brothers: John (Phyllis) Hinen, Fort Wayne, Steve (Pat) Hinen, Fort Wayne, Larry (Lynn) Hinen, Columbia City, Dan (Wanda) Hinen, Fort Wayne, Ed (Lori) Hinen, Huntington; two sisters: Mary (Tim) Bowman, Huntington, Ann (Dennis) Boyer; Roanoke, and six grandchildren: Tori Neal, Serenity Diffenbaugh, Kaitlyn Neal, Nathan Bowman, Sydney Diffenbaugh and Emma Neal.

M. Angela Brickley, 103, Huntington, IN passed away at 7:34 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Norwood Nursing Center, Huntington. ,
Mrs. Brickley was born December 3, 1907 in Huntington, IN to Henry and Cecelia (Christman) Freel. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brickley married Ralph H. Brickley September 10, 1931 in Huntington. He preceded her in death April 26, 1957.
Mrs. Brickley was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the rosary sodality.

Donald Eugene Wilson, age 64, of Huntington, died at 2:02 p.m. Wednesday (August 17, 2011) at his home.
Don was born October 11, 1946, in Huntington, to Lloyd “Jack” and Caroline (Crocesi) Wilson. He was a 1965 graduate of Huntington High School and attended two years of business school. Don was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He married Linda Sue Williams on October 22, 1976, in Roanoke.
Don worked for Dana Spicer Axle of Fort Wayne for over 30 years and 19 years at Norwood Golf Club in Huntington. He was a member of the Norwood Golf Club and the Thursday Night Church League at Rainbow Lanes. He loved to golf and bowl.

Ruby Mae Rader, age 94, of Huntington, died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday (August 17, 2011) at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Ruby was born on July 1, 1917, in Mishawaka, the daughter of Frederick and Iva (Smith) Kindley. She was a 1935 graduate of Mishawaka High School. Ruby married A.C. Rader in April of 1935 in Elkhart and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1966.
Ruby was the former owner of Rader’s Market along with her husband, A.C. Rader. She also worked for Myers Drug Store, W. T. Grant and retired from Walgreen’s in 1980. Ruby worked with her son, Wayne, at Riverbend Produce until 2000. She loved her family as well as, raccoons and birds and bowling.

Mary F. Bangs, age 93, of Huntington, died Monday (August 15, 2011) morning at her home.
Mary was born May 19, 1918, in Henry County, the daughter of Rev. Basil R. and Nellie E. (Williams) Holloway. She graduated from Mt. Summit High School, Henry County, in 1935. Mary married Charles E. Bangs on July 12, 1941, in Messick and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2002.
Mary retired from The Huntington News as a Linotype Operator working from 1945 - 1969. Mary was a member of College Park United Brethren Church where she was a life member of the Missionary Fellowship Group.

Dale W. Kline, 56, of Roanoke, IN, passed away on August 11, 2011 in Roanoke, IN.
Dale was born November 22, 1954 to Harold William and Ellen Mae (Cotton) Kline in Huntington, IN. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Kline was a 1973 graduate of Huntington North High School and received an Associate Degree in Engineering from I.U.P.U., Fort Wayne in 1981. He retired from Dana Corporation as an engineer.
Survivors include two brothers: Arthur H. (Joanna) Kline, Huntington and Michael A. (Brenda) Kline, Lansing, Michigan, three nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, and three grand-nephews.

Infant Donald Harry Eckinger, Jr. was stillborn at 3:13 a.m. Tuesday (August 9, 2011) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Survivors include his parents – Harry Donald and Stephine Lynn (Arbogast) Eckinger of Huntington; sisters – Lena Eckinger and Lyndzey Eckinger both at home; grandparents – Donald and Karen Eckinger of Huntington and Anna Evans of Crestline, Ohio; great-grandparents – Betty Clevenger of Manfield, Ohio and Frank Osborne of Galion, Ohio; great great-grandmother – Mary Osborne of Crestline, Ohio; several aunts and cousins. Great-grandmother, Anna Armstrong, preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held at 1p.m. Thursday (August 11, 2011) at Mt. Calvary Babyland Cemetery, Huntington with Father John Pfister officiating.

Mary Ruth Conner, 86 of Markle passed away at 7:43 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Mrs. Conner was a homemaker and had worked for 20 years as a coil winder at Square D. retiring in 1987. She was a 1943 graduate of Chili High School and was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church.
She was born on February 20, 1925 in Smithville, TN a daughter of William and Martha (Pack) Love.
She was united in marriage to Ross L. Conner on October 18, 1947. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two sons: Dennis (Linda) Conner of Huntington and Larry (Connie) Conner of Ft. Wayne; A brother William Landon Love of Mexico, IN; a sister Geraldine (Larry) Brower of Macy, IN; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 413 N. Lee Street, Markle, IN 46770.

Richard Reinhart, 77, 1500 Grant St., Huntington, IN, died at 9.08 AM, Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Parkview Huntington l Hospital, Huntington, IN.
Mr. Reinhart was born August 15, 1933 in Antwerp, OH to Raymond Andrew and Matilda Elizabeth Meyer Reinhart. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Reinhart was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include: 1 sister: Mrs. Rita (Jim) Dinius, Huntington, IN, several nieces and nephews.
