Frances E. Wasmuth, 87 of Huntington passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Oak Brook Village Nursing Center. She was a 1940 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a member of the Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker and also worked outside the home at Kitchen Maid, Schacht Rubber Company, Triad-Utrad and Cloverleaf Dairy.
She was born on March 13, 1922 in Huntington County, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Stettler) Pollock.
She was united in marriage to John Paul Wasmuth, Sr. on February 23, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2002.
Survivors include a son: John P. (Jane) Wasmuth, Jr. of Fishers; two daughters: Joan Phillips of Huntington; Betty (Dennis) Hohensee of Huntington; eight grandchildren: Diana Clark of Syracuse, IN; Mark Wasmuth of Indianappolis; Chad Phillips of Roanoke; Jimmy Phillips; Heidi Jacquay; Thomas Babb; Dustin Babb and Kenneth Babb all of Huntington and fourteen great grandchildren: Adrianna Clark and Allison Clark both of Syracuse, IN; Megan Phillips; Taylor Phillips and Cameron Phillips all of Roanoke; Sierra Jacquay; Marissa Jacquay; Lyndsee Jacquay and Makinzee Jacquay all of Huntington; Blaze Curry; Chase Phillips; Clay Phillips and Gavin Babb all of Andrews and Karygan Babb of Huntington.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington,Indiana.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Jeff Carrell officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
