Blanche L. Crago, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida and formerly of Charles Street in Huntington passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville,Florida. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post in Van Buren. She attended Union Church. She enjoyed sewing and quilting as well as camping, fishing and gardening.
She was born on October 18, 1931 in Wabash, Indiana, a daughter of William J. and Mary Etta (Silvers) Cassidy.
She was united in marriage to Charles Crago on November 17, 1979. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1995.
Survivors include a daughter: Pam Wilson of Jacksonville, FL; a brother: Gene Davis of Tennessee; a sister: Shirley (Harry) Brewer of Marion; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Mark Hoffer officiating.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington County.
