Marianne Mattox

Marianne Mattox, 76 of Huntington passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Heritage of Huntington. She was a 1951 graduate of Ovid High School in Ovid, Michigan. She graduated from Greenville College with a bachelor’s degree in education. She attended Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Wabash.

She was born on April 3, 1933 in Ovid, Michigan, a daughter of John and Clara (Nolte) Behrens.

She was united in marriage to Jack B. Mattox on October 5, 1967 in Ovid, Michigan. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1986.

Survivors include three sons: John T. Mattox of Fort Wayne; Jay E. Mattox of Merriville, IN; Joe A. Mattox of Huntington; two daughters: Maria J. Rineer of Miamisburg, OH; Katy E. Herron of Ontario, Canada; two brothers: Erwin Behrens of Phoenix, AZ; Ervie Behrens of Ovid, MI; two sisters: Betty Heimberger of Niles, MI; Katy Behrens of Ovid, MI and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington,Indiana.

Service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Rev. Gene Vickery officiating.

Interment will be at the Paw Paw Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
