With the Indiana Democratic Party ordering a new election for Huntington County, I can't help but think of the old adage: Be careful for what you wish for, you just might get it. The state party I think was correct in ruling I was a Democrat, sorry Ray and Bill, but the unfortunate part about their ruling is ordering a new election.
While I am confident of another victory if I decide to run again, sorry Ray and Bill, the prospect of one of these two leading the party is scary if you are a Democrat. There are 24 Committee and vice-committee people if I am not the Chairman, if I am the Chairman, we have 44, with another 10 waiting to be appointed. My guess is if I am not the Chairman, the number could go as low as 16. The Updikes have to be loving this. Anyway, here is the evidence submitted by the ray tackett clan for their argument for a new election, and I use the term evidence very loosely. ray tackett, bill johnson and the rest of the huntington democrats, be careful for what you wish for, you may just get it.
P.S. You will understand the typos after reading the documents.

mr snyder the indiana democrat party ruled that you are a democrat because ken zuk said you were, but we all know better, you are a republican in democrat clothing.
you never supported anyone on democrat ticket but you.
if it talks like a republican, acts like a republican, walks like a republican. then it must be a republican.
youre are trying to create a 2nd republican party in huntington.
lets hope that the people who vote will follow bill johnson and ray tacketts advice and put you back in huntington republican party that doesnt want you either

Wow...all I can do after reading through all that is just sit here & shake my head. I've only been following this blog for a short time & can't say that I agree or disagree with everything going on, but my goodness, I'm speechless after reading through Mr. Tackett's documents.

Someone please tell me that these people are not products of the public school system in Huntington County. If so, they need to go back to school and their old teachers need to be fired.

FROM AN EARLIER POST
HOW TRUE
hey snyder
Do you remember 5/6/08
Dan Leonard 2,776 53.91%
Terry Abbett 1,516 29.44%
snyder 857 16.64%
Well snyder you can spell landslide. Is that when you were a republican??? I and other Huntington conservatives would love to see snyder as head of the democrate party. Just think snyder if things didn't go well for you again you could just change parties. Nader is looking for help. Your negativism and smug pompous demeanor is just what democrates need. I know alot of good democrates and snyder you are an outcast. I beleive in the party system,I also beleive in loyal opposition, not the venom you spit. Democrates be very careful what you wish for you might get it.
Hey snyder bet you a hot fudge sundie you don't print this.
AMEN FOR YOU TELLING IT LIKE IT IS

I agree with Gordon. Has anyone ever heard of a nifty tool known as spell-check?? The Democrats now look like the uneducated idiots I was beginning to think the GOP had lassoed. Ray Tackett, enough is enough. Please hire a high-school student to draft all future emails and or letters. You, sir, are an embarrassment to any and every citizen in Huntington. I can say one thing for certain; I was a registered Republican that was slowly being swayed to the other side until I started following this story. If that is how you run your party, keep your minutes, and conduct yourselves no wonder an English bulldog could get elected in Huntington County before a Democrat could. You people need to settle your issues behind closed doors and deal with these types of things in a manner that doesn’t make each and every one of you look like asinine fools. There is something to be said about the ability and the motivation to open and read a dictionary. “Precient”? What does this mean? What does this mean when used incorrectly over 14 times in your correspondence? I am sure you meant “Precinct” which most of us know to mean “a district, as of a city, marked out for governmental or administrative purposes, or for police protection”, but I have to wonder. No capitalization, no punctuation, no flow whatsoever.
Oh, and while I am at it……quit your finger pointing “flyingeyeball”! You are no better. Definitely 1 of 3 things is definite.
1. You used to be a Democrat with spelling and punctuation like that
2. You live in Andrews, Indiana with the spelling wizards
3. You are Ray Tackett (yes, Mr. Tackett, your name should begin with capital letters)

Ray Tackett has done more for the Republican cause than Ronald Reagan.

Quite honestly, I would trade Pam Updike for Ray. The Dems might have to throw in a case of beer too!
