It is a given that people, being human as we all are, tend to make periodic mistakes. No one is perfect and we simply have to accept the fact that sometimes information is not searched out as much as it should be for transmission. But some errors are forgiven much easier than others. Professionals such as doctors, lawyers, electrical technicians, and may I add professional journalism people are a few that we depend on daily to be consistently at the top of their game.
The word professional itself implies vast integrity and responsibility. Most professions require that a person have specific credentials, training and even some have to be licensed. A community expects a localized publication to be the best that their capability allows, each day, every day. Professionals that do accurate reporting and presents factual news without any rose colored glasses or partiality to any person, administration, or agenda.
So why is it that people are contacting Huntington Political News to address current events rather than the H-P? Why is it that your advertising base is decreasing and HPN's is increasing daily? Or why are your subscription numbers dropping like a rock, and HPN's are almost doubling every month!?
Here's a clue~ “Drillers found an even a more productive site on the property located in the 6000 block of N. 300 W." This statement appeared in a recent article that was not researched, is not valid, and yep, I'm gonna say this.. A lie! So what's the deal? Your validity took a major hit and for what? You thought you wouldn't get caught? Maybe you thought this would create more of a sunshine story? So what else have you fabricated that your credibility should be questioned on?
I'm sure that you would like to pretend this website doesn't even exist. I'm sure that if asked, you wouldn't even acknowledge it's existence. But you do know it exists, and you do read it although denial would be expected. Either we can work together and share information for a more accurate news release, or you can continue on in the path that you have obviously chosen.

Amen! To the Herald Press boo!!!!!!!!!! Well I read both, one makes me laugh at them (Herald Press) and the other news(this website) just makes me smile that truth has been set free. To the Herald Press read John 8:32!

Nice try, Jay. The decline of the H-P has everything to do with how it has been operated by the new owners since the day they bought it and nothing to do with this godforsaken web site.

You are exactly right JFK. The paper fell to pieces when the Quayles sold and all of the original staff left. I enjoy this site, but it has not contributed to the demise of the H-P whatsoever. Give Jay an "A" for effort.
