With my 15 years experience in the Treasurer’s Office, eight of which I was the Treasurer; I felt my knowledge of the tax side combined with the check and balance of the financial side would make a good fit to enable me to run for Office of Huntington County Auditor.
We’ve seen many changes with taxes since 2003. I’ve been on the front line trying to help people understand how taxes have evolved into what they are today. The education of taxes has always been a responsibility I took seriously, so that people could understand what is going on. If there were exemptions that could lower taxes, I’d always point it out.
Tax dollars will be dwindling as these property tax caps come into place and government will be struggling to keep things as they are. I do feel County Government needs to come together to meet those challenges in an efficient manner.

Good Luck Cindy. The choice in May should be an easy one for any taxpayer that has had the chance to step foot in the Auditor's office. By educating the taxpayers you are a stand out for the position. Oh, and the fact that you know how to spell "graduate" may make you the front runner also. (See Kathy Juillerat for Auditor's Facebook page) My 10 year old has the ability to spell better than the individual holding the County checkbook and submitting the County budgets.
