Folklore:   an often unsupported notion, story, or saying that is widely circulated.

Some of you that read this site may not necessarily like the way I write, but for the most part, it is backed up with facts, documentation and even audio.  And yes, sometimes I may have a little fun at the expense, okay, sometimes I have a lot fun at the expense of maybe not stupid people, but stupid actions.  I know I sometimes use just a little too much sarcasm in the way I write, but hey, it keeps you coming back for more.  Contrary to popular belief, I am able to take as much as I give and almost enjoy the back and forth on occasion.

Unfortunately in this campaign season, Terry Stoffel and friends have decided to replace the truth with folklore.  So some advice for you; just because Terry Stoffel says it, doesn't mean it's so.  Just because Terry said his campaign finance report was correct, didn't make it so.  Just because Terry said he had the support of Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries, didn't make it so.  And just because Terry is saying some very malicious things about me and my wife, well, that just makes it a lie.  So for the record, I was not the person on the grassy knoll!

Anyway, Stoffel's actions represent the failings of a desperate campaign that once thought it was entitled to the sheriff's office and now sees it's campaign coming apart at the seems.  Remember Terry, just because you say it, doesn't mean it's so.

Our family supported Stoffel for sheriff based on what he appeared to be. We started to question that first impression then heard the rumor his familiy is spreading and realized they were deliberately making up a reputation destroying story about a person opposing his bid for office. I would agree there is a sense of entitlement on Stoffel's part.

There's politics then there's dirty politics. Our family is above the last one and will no longer support a smear campaign. Sorry Terry but you did this to yourself.

Not once do I cry foul, just pointing out that just because Terry says sit, doesn't mean it's so? Seems to be a pattern with this guy.

You even said, "for the most part..." which means that some of what you say is NOT backed up with facts. So, why don't you be above all the rest and just stick to the facts. That would gain you a whole lot more credibility than the others. Right now, you seem to be a loose cannon ready to explode at any action or word spoken by anyone with the last name of Stoffel, Updike or anyone else you are against at the moment. Facts only please.....
