Wow! Mike Pence visited the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Way to put your life on the line for the country Mike. Sick commercial. Vote to send our kids to war, put up a misleading ad implying you actually served. Equating "visiting" the troops to military service. Hey Mike, when did you serve?

Don't worry, I'm sure they only kept him in safe zones and made him wear a Kevlar body suit like they do most coward politicians that go over there.
I say that if we're going to keep these stupid wars of choice going indefinitely, that we take every member of Congress that voted for them, and draft their children for 4 years of actual overseas military deployment.
Something tells me this would be over with, REAL FAST, if the people like Mike Pence really had anyone they cared about over there and actually in harms way day in and day out.
What would really happen if we brought back the draft? There would be people like George W. Bush with an honorary rank in some champagne unit that is guaranteed to never be deployed. Bush spent more of his time AWOL and drunk than he did doing anything related to his nominal assignment to the Texas Air Guard.
The Republicans managed to successfully attack Mr. Kerry, which unlike Bush, actually did serve in Vietnam,
Now we're being asked to vote for another cheese-eating billionaire Republican who never actually served in the military (Mitt Romney), who actually went and hid in France until the Vietnam draft was over and it was safe to come back out.
People don't want a war veteran in the white house. They had their chance with Mr. Kerry and they primarily used his record of service to attack him with instead. Disgusting.
As contemptible as I find John McCain, I never once tried to imply that he was a draft dodger or that there was something wrong with his military record.
The way this country treats war veterans is unconscionable.
Most of them don't end up in Congress, most of them don't end up being millionaires.
A staggering number of them come home with post traumatic stress disorder and end up committing suicide or living under a bridge. We owe them more than that, even if the war they were fighting was wrong.
Mr. Pence, you don't know anything about sacrifice because you've never had to make one.
Mr. Pence, you are just another corrupt, damned dirty scumbag who hides under his desk all day while you send other people to fight the wars you help to start.
Mr. Pence, I will *not* be voting for you just because you had a photo op and a campaign that was secretly financed by anonymous white collar criminals*, because I am not stupid.
*(We should do anything we have to do to get Corporations United overturned and astroturfing lobbyist groups unmasked. They are the ones behind a lot of our corrupt politicians. It's now to the point where you literally cannot win without them.)

Pence voted No on repealing indefinite military detention of US citizens without a trial.
