INDIANAPOLIS, (WISH) — There is an ongoing effort by the John Gregg campaign to paint Republican Mike Pence as an extremist. That's why Missouri Congressman Todd Akin's controversial abortion comments are now fodder in the Indiana race for governor.
Gregg began telling voters in June that Mike Pence has focused solely on social issues during his decade in Congress. He did it in a news conference in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic.
"He's been an extremist all along," said Gregg on June 4th, "but he wants to hide from that record and we want to compare and contrast and won't let him get away from that record."
