INDIANAPOLIS – A new poll released by the Gregg campaign today shows that John Gregg has closed the once double digit gap with his opponent Congressman Mike Pence in the final weeks of the campaign for Governor. Down 18 points in August, Gregg has pulled to within 6 points with two weeks to go until Election Day. The poll was conducted by Beneson Strategy Group between October 18-21 with 701 respondents and has a margin of error of +/-3.7%.
"Hoosiers are responding to John's message of creating jobs and strengthening our economy, as well as his common sense approach to governing," said Rebecca Pearcey, Gregg for Governor Campaign Manager. "We are pleased to see John's level of support increase while Congressman Pence's support is eroding. As voters learn more about Congressman Pence and his Tea Party ties, he loses support among almost every demographic. With less than two weeks to go until all the votes are counted, we are confident we will continue closing in on Congressman Pence and win this race."
