Fair

Marion County? He was a firefighter in Indianapolis? Tells you how much you really know.If you were there you would never ever made a comment like that.

Pam Cowgill

Now thats just sad! Mr Cowgill stopped to help a man in cardiac arrest. They were my tickets and it was my sister that was hurt. I Pam Cowgill got the tickets not anticipating a stage to collapse on us. There will be NO PAYOUT from anyone as a matter of FACT I gave the money back to the Victims relief fund that they refunded from the tickets. You apperently have no clue or you wouldnt be blowing off at the mouth lacking education or personal knowledge of what happens within MY family less the "BALLS" to sign your name to this post.

He was a firefighter in MARION INDIANA not Marion County.. I am sure he is not getting paid for this and HE administered CPR on someone he didn't know as he was trying to get his wife, sister in law and friend out of there.....read the article before you comment!!!

I was at that concert,I was in the sugar pit, and unless you was there (taxpayer), you really have nothing to say about Mr. Cowgill. Its not someone trying to get fame off of a tragedy, they are telling there story of what happen, I cant talk about it, its too much on me, I will not watch a video, and I dont talk about it, which some say thats not good, cause im holding it in. Im glad the Cowgills are telling it, cause they are telling it how it really happen.None of us would have thought that the stage would fall on any of us. We was all there to have a good time. so Taxpayer you should think twice before you judge someone.

Brian Cowgill and I worked together for years collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cancer Services Of Grant County, Pennies For Puppies, The Grant County Vietnam Veterans monument, along with deploying to New York City after 9-11 and the Gulf Coast after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He went into FIREFIGHTER mode at the State Fair when the stage rigging collapsed, just before the group Sugarland was to take the stage. He helped as many people as he could, the best that he could, for as long as he could.

Those that received harm due to the negligence of others are entitled by the laws of the land to be compensated. If no negligence is determined then survivors walk away with only the horrific memories of what they experienced and witnessed during the stage collapse. It's not a matter of opinion, that's a fact. As you have the freedom to post a hodge-podge collection of misguided half-truths and unfounded opinions the survivors are entitled to seek counsel. Brian also has the freedom to inquire about the liability of a blogger hiding behind an anonymous name for slanderous comments made on a local small town forum where everyone knows each other when his personal integrity is questioned. Brian has opted to share his story with several outlets of which he was not obligated to do; however, felt compelled to share his first hand experiences. As noted by Tim in the WBAT piece this perhaps is Brians fifteen minutes of fame, yet I’m guessing very few would choose to seek fame in this regard. Sharing his story suggests there's a higher power that decided not to take Brian, nor members of his family, on that specific day. After all, it’s very possible; he was in the exact right place at the exact right time for reasons well beyond our comprehension.
